Government Order regarding land ownership


Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that though the debt of the people of Sitarganj on him was too large to pay back he would try to back it back by bringing in prosperity for not only the Sitarganj but also for the entire state.
Chief Minister Bahuguna addressing for the first time the people of Sitarganj at Tagore Nagar, Shaktifarm after his by-election victory here today, said that it would be his whole hearted effort to transpire the constituency from its all backwardness. He urged the people not to give much heed to the rumours about land ownership right.
Mr. Bahuguna disclosed that looking into the public interest amendments had been made in the Government Order regarding land ownership issued on May 30. He revealed that the Circle Rate had been reduced and the time frame has been increased to one year instead of six months. "The Circle Rate had been reduced to 5 per cent from 10," he added. Mr. Bahuguna said that the State Government would urge the Revenue Department to exempt all 900 pending legal cases related to the land.
 Chief Minister Bahuguna said that during his election canvassing, he had visited the people door to door and learnt about their problems. He said that as per his observation, flood was the biggest problem for them and the State Government would look for the ways to spend Rs. 1500 crore received from the Centre for construction of bridges, roads and parapets to mitigate flood. Mr. Bahuguna said that the Centre has approved four-lane road from Kashipur to Sitarganj for which it had also sanctioned Rs. 2200 crore. He said that SIDCUL Sitarganj would be developed which would in return generate employment opportunities for the youths of Sitarganj.
 Mr. Bahuguna also presented land leases to Jaswant Acharya, Vaidyanath, Ramakant, Ashutosh Acharya, Prabhash Goldar and Sandhya. He also laid foundation stone of Degree College and Polytechnic Buildings at Baruabagh.
Finance Minister Indira Hridayesh said that financial package of Rs. 2200 crore sanctioned by the Centre was a great achievement for State Government. She said that the four-lane roads would lead to overall development of the area.
Also present on the occasion were Revenue Minister Yashpal Arya, Mrs. Sudha Bahuguna, Kiran Mandal, Mahendra Pal, Tilakraj Behad and Narayan Singh Bisht.
